As the name suggests Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) is not produced by your thyroid gland but it is produced by the hypothalamus in the brain and its job is to activate the thyroid gland so that it starts producing T3 and T4. Higher levels of TSH should not be the reason for putting you on Thyroid Medicine which is the case in more than 98% patients as long as the T3 and T4 levels are within normal range which is the case with most of the patients.

If you exercise for 5 minutes in the morning then your muscles will be warmed up and the function of Thyroid gland gets bypassed and you would not have an excuse of having less active thyroid gland for your obesity.
